Foraged Fire Cider Class
Date: October 31st | 10 AM–1 PM
Join us at Ivy Rose Farm in Clermont, GA, for a half-day of foraging, herbal wisdom, local food, and hands-on medicine-making! Together, we’ll explore the farm’s cultivated medicinal garden and surrounding landscape, gathering inspiration from the plants growing around us to create your own unique blend of Fire Cider.
Rosemary, clinical herbalist and founder of Forest and Ether, brings over 10 years of experience studying and practicing herbal medicine, with a deep passion for foraging, plant connection, and the art of crafting herbal remedies. In this hands-on class, she’ll teach you how to make Fire Cider, one of Forest and Ether’s best-selling herbal tonics, while introducing you to the rich tradition of oxymels (medicinal preparations that combine vinegar and honey to create flavorful herbal infusions).
You’ll explore the traditional uses of Fire Cider’s warming, pungent ingredients, discover the versatility of vinegar-and-honey preparations, and learn practical medicine-making skills to bring into your own home apothecary. Best of all, you’ll make and take home your own 8 oz jar of Fire Cider, crafted with ingredients gathered and inspired by the farm! We’ll also share a light farm-to-table-style meal before closing out the class for the day.
What’s Included
A guided walk through our cultivated medicinal garden and farm grounds
Supplies to make your own 8 oz jar of Fire Cider to take home
An introduction to the herbs, ingredients, and traditions behind this beloved herbal tonic
A light, farm-to-table-style lunch featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients
Ivy Rose Farm is operated by Laura and Bernie, who welcome visitors to their beautiful property, where they raise goats, provide fresh eggs, cultivate gardens, and nurture a landscape abundant with edible and medicinal plants.
Whether you’re new to herbalism or already love making your own remedies, this class is an opportunity to get your hands in the plants, learn time-honored medicine-making techniques, enjoy a taste of farm life, and leave with a deeper connection to the land and a fiery little tonic to take home!
Refund Policy: Because classes require advance preparation and limited spaces may be available, we’re unable to offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes. If Forest and Ether cancels a class, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to transfer your registration to a future class.
